Pentzer Corp. has expanded its Creative Solutions Group with the addition of companies in California and Florida.
Revenues from White Plus Inc. of El Segundo, Calif., and Target Woodworks of Hialeah, Fla., will bring the group’s total annually to more than $100 million, said Vice President Jan Plester.
Also, she said, White’s design abilities will complement the production capabilities of some of the group’s other West Coast units.
Plester said collaboration among the 10 units has been increasing as they turn to each other for resources that may not be available in-house.
And in November, she noted, the group will participate in a single booth at a point-of-sales show in New York.
Creative Solutions Group units specialize in designing and building in-store display kiosks and related marketing materials.
White Plus clients include Mattel, Disney and Toys R’ Us. Its promotion programs have included “The Lion King,” “Lost World Jurassic Park,” and “Batman Returns.”
Target Woodworks’ products feature fine woods and speciality metal treatments for store displays.
Plester said no terms of the deals will be disclosed. In both cases, she said, management will stay on to run the companies.
Pentzer is the holding company for Washington Water Power Co.’s non-utility operations. Total assets are $240 million.
Plester said employment has reached 1,600, but all but 10 of those are outside Spokane in various operations that also include financial services and manufacturing.
