Samuel L. Jackson Commands Attention

Six years removed from his riveting performance as Wesley Snipes’ juiced-up brother in “Jungle Fever,” Samuel L. Jackson continues to impress. In Kevin Reynold’s stylistic “187,” Jackson takes on difficult material he portrays a school teacher pushed beyond his limits and holds our attention despite our desire to look away.
