Police Will Give Away Car Seats To Those In Need
The Coeur d’Alene Police Department will give away 78 child car seats next week to families who are not able to afford them.
The department also will show families a 30-minute video on car seat use and safety when officers distribute them next Thursday, said Officer Greg Lance. Most toddlers injured in car accidents are not in a car seat, are not strapped in properly or are seated in an inadequate car seat, he said.
Officers used $3,500 donations from local agencies to buy the car seats.
