Consil Pushes Back Silver Mine Purchase

From Staff And Wire Reports

ConSil Corp., primarily owned by Hecla Mining Co., said it has pushed back its agreement date on acquiring a Mexican silver mine from Mexican company Minas la Colorada S.A. de C.V. because of poor silver prices.

The silver mining company originally planned to finish the purchase of the silver mine by Aug. 1, but has not finished financing work to buy the property.

Talks will continue, but each company retains the right to cancel the agreement any time, both companies said.

ConSil previously owned silver properties in Idaho’s Silver Valley.
