Spurrier Pact In Works

The Florida Times-Union reported that Steve Spurrier, who led Florida to its first national championship last year, has agreed to an extension that would pay him about $2 million a year.

“We are talking to Steve, but we have not agreed on anything,” athletic director Jeremy Foley said.

The NCAA cleared Grambling football coach Eddie Robinson of any violations but placed the university on two years’ probation for minor infractions by assistants and for playing two academically ineligible basketball players.
