Coyotes Sign Three

Compiled From Wire Services

The Phoenix Coyotes reached a one-year contract agreement with left wing Jim McKenzie on Thursday and signed forwards Darin Kimble and Scott Levins, NHL veterans who spent last season in the minors.

Levins, who plays center and right wing, logged four seasons and 122 games with Ottawa, Florida and the Coyotes, when they were known as the Winnipeg Jets.

In 1995-96, he played 27 games with Ottawa but finished up with Detroit of the IHL. Last season, Levins played in 68 games with the Springfield Falcons, Phoenix’s American Hockey League affiliate. He is a graduate of Spokane’s Central Valley High School.
