Crews To Trim Limbs Along Roads
A month of tree trimming in the Sandpoint Independent Highway District begins Monday, with crews clearing roadways of encroaching limbs.
While the highway district will maintain the “street-side” of trees, adjacent property owners are responsible for the rest of trees that are in their yards but border roads in the district.
Included in the project, set to run through May 9, will be a limb and Christmas tree chipping and removal service. Tree limbs and Christmas trees must be stacked with their butt ends toward the street or curb in order to be chipped. To take part in the program, homeowners must call the highway district between April 14 and May 9 to sign up.
For further information, to report a tree problem, or to be included in the program, contact the Sandpoint Independent Highway District at (208) 263-8131.
