Girl Says Three Tried To Lure Her Into Truck

Police are searching for three people who tried using candy to lure an 11-year-old girl into a pickup on the North Side last week.

The girl ignored them at first, but the driver turned the truck around and asked her again if she wanted candy. The girl, who had been walking home at about 3:20 p.m., ran into a parking lot near Driscoll Boulevard and hid.

The truck slowly circled the area searching for the girl, then left, police report.

All three people were white. The driver was a man in his 20s. One passenger was a woman about the same age, the other was a man of unspecified age.
