Farmers Insurance Honors Randy Smith For Sales
Randy D. Smith, a Sandpoint agent for Farmers Insurance Group of Companies, recently was honored for his outstanding sales achievements during 1995.
Smith, who represents Farmers’ member companies in homeowners, automobile, business and life insurance, was invited to attend the 1996 annual meeting of Farmers’ top sales producers in Banff, Alberta.
The meeting will give agents and district managers an opportunity to explore ideas to enhance customer service and discuss local and national trends affecting the insurance business today.
Verne Stoltz and Jim Goodsell have both recently retired from Northern Lights Power Co. in Sandpoint.
Stoltz, a financial specialist and 29-year veteran of Northern Lights, began in the accounting department in 1967 and was soon promoted to office manager and supervised the accounting and office services division. He has lived in Sandpoint for 31 years.
Goodsell, who began as a lineman for Northern Lights in 1971, later became the general foreman overseeing all of the Northern Lights line crews and coordinating the work of all overhead and underground line installations. He is from Montana and previously worked for Harp Line Constructors.
Shirley Howe, has been selected by her peers as the Best Western Templin’s Resort’s Employee of the Month for August.
Howe, who began her employment as a housekeeper in May of 1995, was chosen for taking her job seriously, calling the guests by name, willingness to help others, cheerfulness, pleasant attitude and pride in her work. She also recently won recognition in the housekeeping recycling program.
