Idaho’s A.D. Search Narrows
Idaho’s search for an athletic director has narrowed to four, the university announced Thursday.
They are: Cincinnati associate A.D. Jim Shaus, Utah assistant A.D. Peter Hart, Pittsburgh A.D. Oval Jaynes and former college football coach Bob Stull.
The list of finalists had been six, but Creighton associate A.D. Chris Peterson and Oklahoma State associate A.D. David Martin are no longer under consideration.
Shaus will be the first to interview Tuesday in Moscow. Schedules for the remaining candidates are being finalized and a decision should be reached in October.
Shaus, who has an extensive marketing background, has been at Cincinnati for three years. He previously was at Northern Illinois (1992-94) and Oregon (1987-91).
Hart was executive director of Utah’s Crimson Club before being promoted to assistant A.D. in July.
Jaynes has been an administrator for more than 30 years. He has resigned at Pitt, but will continue on until the new A.D. is hired. He was previously the A.D. at Colorado State and an assistant A.D. at Auburn.
Stull was an assistant football coach at Washington before taking head coaching jobs at UTEP and Missouri.
He’s been the president/CEO of the boys and girls club of King County in Seattle the past three years.
