Juniper Dunes Reopens

Wilderness areas

The Juniper Dunes Wilderness northeast of Pasco was re-opened to public access last week for the first time since a wildfire charred the area on June 29.

The U.S. Bureau of Land Management closed the area after the human-caused fire burned a mosaic pattern over three-fourths of the 7,140-acre wilderness.
