If You’ve Got The Time And Money …
Got a year or so and $66,000 to spend, plus a yearning to sail the world? You don’t have to buy your own yacht to do it if you sign on with East-West, a new, Paris-based company offering 14-month, round-the-world cruises aboard 55-foot luxury catamarans. (Four and five-month segments also are available, priced from $22,000 to $26,000.)
Accompanied by a professional skipper, boats carry seven clients who actively participate in daily ship life. Crew members determine their itinerary in locales including the Caribbean, Bali, the Greek Isles, Tahiti and the Red Sea.
One boat departed on its world tour in June. A few places were still available on the Tahiti-Maldives segment (October-February) and the Maldives-Antilles option (March 1-July 31).
The next vessel sets sail Dec. 1, returning Jan. 31, 1988. For details, call East-West at (011) 33-1-53-89-1333; fax (011) 33-1-53-89-1334.
