Stallone tries comedy again

For the first time since the box office disappointments “Oscar” and “Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot,” Sylvester Stallone is in active negotiations to return to comedy.

According to industry sources, a deal is being put together for a film called “Brand New Man,” a comedy-drama that Stallone would star in.

The script is about a burglar with two strikes against him who pledges to his wife to forgo his life of crime when he is released from prison. Unfortunately, he inadvertently stirs up the ire of his former crime boss.
