New Management Remodels And Renames Mathews On Pines
Some longtime Valley residents recently bought Mathew’s restaurant on Pines Road near the freeway and renamed it Trendz off 90.
East Valley High graduates Elaine Sarff and Chuck Givas, along with Sarff’s husband, Hal, and brother-in-law, Larry, took over the well-known eatery and have done some renovations and menu changes.
The restaurant and lounge, which now has a dance floor, features Monday Night Football specials with live comedy after the games. The restaurant will soon have theme nights such as country-western dancing.
Sarff said the menu will change to suit the customers’ requests. The constantly updated menu now includes daily pasta specials and Nebraska corn-fed prime rib.
Lunch prices range from $4 to $7.50 and dinner prices range from $6 to $15. The restaurant at 2104 N. Pines is open 24 hours a day.
