Missing Man’s Body Pulled From River

Associated Press

The body of a Lewiston man was found floating in the Snake River early Tuesday about three miles west of Clarkston.

James Jennings, 44, had been missing since April 28, when he dove into the Snake River near Buffalo Eddy, came up and then disappeared. A tug boat operator spotted the body near the Port of Wilma in Whitman County, about 24 miles downstream from where Jennings was last seen.

The Asotin and Whitman county sheriff’s departments helped pull the body from the river at 1 a.m. Tuesday, and later identified it as Jennings’.
