Another Underclassmen Declares
Louisville junior Jason Osborne, academically ineligible to play last season, announced he was making himself available for the NBA draft.
Osborne’s announcement that he would join sophomore teammate Samaki Walker in the draft came less than nine hours before the midnight deadline for underclassmen to declare for the draft.
The 6-foot-8, 200-pound swingman averaged 10.6 points and 5.8 rebounds in two seasons with the Cardinals. He averaged 3.6 assists and blocked at least 30 shots each season.
Corey Benjamin, one of the top high school basketball players in the country, said that he will play alongside his brother Sonny at Oregon State.
Benjamin, a 6-foot-6, 205-pound All-American forward at Fontana High in Fontana, Calif., chose Oregon State over Fresno State. Earlier, he had rejected overtures from UCLA, Syracuse, Connecticut and Seton Hall.
