Nick At Nite Changing Lineup

The Hollywood Reporter

Nick at Nite will freshen up its prime-time “Classic TV” lineup over the next several months with the addition of “The Odd Couple,” “Happy Days” and “Newhart.” “The Odd Couple” will premiere on June 3, taking over the 11 p.m. slot from “Welcome Back, Kotter,” which will end its run on the cable channel.

The long-running hit “Happy Days” takes over the 8:30 p.m. slot starting Sept. 30. Nick at Nite will likely drop the second runs of one of its current comedies in the lineup to make room for the ‘70s hit about the life in the ‘50s.

“Newhart,” Bob Newhart’s second hit series that ran on CBS from 1982-90, will join Nick early next year. Nick will make three MTM sitcoms part of its Sunday night lineup starting this weekend, with “Rhoda” and “Phyllis” - both spinoffs of “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” - and “The Betty White Show,” airing as part of its “Women of Nick at Nite” block.

Nick at Nite was also able to boast a strong ratings showing for its launch of Nick at Nite’s TV Land, the spinoff channel that was previewed on Nick last week.
