Football

Eastern Washington’s spring practice ends today with the 2 p.m. Red-White game at Woodward Stadium, which is free and open to the public.

The Eagles’ No. 1 offensive and defensive units will compete on the Red team. Quarterbacks Harry Leons and Griffin Garske are expected to split time between offensive squads.

“The emphasis will be on the development of players within the schemes, not necessarily the development of individual players,” said coach Mike Kramer. “We’ve already seen enough to know who can play and who can’t. Now we’re trying to develop everybody together as a unit.”

Kramer said he plans to run between 70 and 80 plays during the scrimmage.
