Physical Therapist Allegedly Fondled Patient

Associated Press

A former president of the state Physical Therapists Association was arrested for indecent liberties for allegedly fondling the breasts of a patient in 1994.

Donald B. Lloyd, 56, was arrested at his Wenatchee home Tuesday morning and booked into the Chelan County Regional Jail. He was later released after posting bond.

Lloyd denied the allegations.

Lloyd retired and sold his Wenatchee Physical Therapy business last year, after the state Board of Physical Therapy began investigating allegations that he had engaged in sexual contact with patients.

The state’s case is still awaiting a hearing before the Physical Therapy Board.

Wenatchee police detective Doug Jones said he interviewed 14 women who made allegations against Lloyd, but only one of the alleged incidents, in November 1994, occurred within the three-year statute of limitations.

The woman accused Lloyd of making inappropriate sexual comments during her treatment, in which he hugged her, unhooked her bra, pulled down her shorts, and fondled her breasts.
