Spokane Public Safety Committee

Today, 11 a.m. regular meeting, fifth-floor conference room

The committee plans to discuss gambling laws changes, long-range community strategies and the Fire Department’s joint dispatch plan.

Spokane Regional Solid Waste System Liaison Board

Today, 1:30 p.m. regular meeting, fifth-floor conference room The board plans to discuss waste reduction and recycling, as well as a contract with C2HM Hill to draft the Comprehensive Management Plan.

Spokane Hearing Examiner

Tuesday, 9 a.m. regular meeting, second-floor conference room

The hearing examiner will consider a request to divide 11.8 acres into 31 single-family lots and one three-acre lot. The proposed development, Wind River Village, is southwest of Nine Mile Road and south of Wind River Drive. The examiner also will consider plans for a 40-unit, single-story assisted living facility on the southwest corner of Nine Mile Road and Wind River Drive.

Spokane City Plan Commission

Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. regular meeting, second-floor conference room

The Plan Commission will discuss the temporary sandwich-board sign ordinance for downtown, as well as a skywalk proposed by Sacred Heart Medical Center. Commission members also plan to hold a public hearing on urban growth boundaries.

Thursday, 1:30 p.m. regular meeting, council chamber

The council will meet in a closed-door session to discuss City Manager Roger Crum’s performance evaluation.
