Film Studio Confirms Wallace Movie Deal
Universal Pictures confirmed Thursday that film crews will begin filming “Dante’s Peak,” an action movie, in Wallace on June 3.
“It’s a done deal,” said a studio spokeswoman.
Filming will take about 110 days, with the first 10 weeks in Idaho, she said. The rest of the film will be shot in Los Angeles.
Pierce Brosnan, star of last year’s “Goldeneye” James Bond film, will star in the movie. The director will be Roger Donaldson, whose film credits include “No Way Out”, “Cocktail” and “The Getaway.”
The film is about the residents of a small town who learn that a nearby mountain is volcanic and soon to erupt.
