Yellowstone Use Up
Snowmobiling
Winter visitation to Yellowstone National Park has increased from 68,600 visitor days in 1982-83 to 143,500 in 1993-94.
The growth has caused some impacts, including conflicts with bison and other wildlife that are attracted to the ease of travel on snowmobile trails.
Snowmobilers account for about 74 percent of the park’s winter visitors. Park officials are considering some limits on winter use. , DataTimes
