Mowry Leads Seniors

Compiled From Wire Services

As he has since Thursday, Larry Mowry continued to hold the lead in the Canadian Senior Open at Ancaster, Ontario.

His 1-under-par 69 for a 202 total was enough to hold off Kermit Zarley, Lee Trevino, Jack Keifer and Don Bies in the $1.1 million Senior PGA Tour event at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club.

Carin Koch stormed out of the pack with a tournament-record 63 on a stormy day to take a one-shot lead at 135 into the final round of the Edina Realty LPGA Classic at Brooklyn Park, Minn.

The 63 was one shot better than the previous tournament record by Kelly Robbins in 1990. It also was one stroke off the LPGA record 62 accomplished four times, the last by Hollis Stacy in 1992.

Robin Walton of Clarkston shot 74, narrowly making the cut. She’s at 2-over 146.
