Tips, Prizes For Kids At Mall’s Safety Clinic

North Idaho families will get a chance to brush up on safety, win prizes and learn how to take a bite out of crime with McGruff the Crime Dog during a presentation today at the Silver Lake Mall.

The exhibition is a 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. safety awareness clinic featuring representatives from local law enforcement agencies, power companies, fire and rescue squads, 9-1-1, emergency units and railroad and disaster services.

Kids will learn safety tips from Smokey the Bear, the Crash Test Dummies, a fire prevention super hero and the Panhandle Equine Rescue Unit, complete with mare and colt. The first 500 children to complete the exhibition will receive a prize.
