Rebecca Poffenroth Newport, Wash.
Visitation for Rebecca Poffenroth, 92, is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax, Wash. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Endicott (Wash.) Cemetery.
Mrs. Poffenroth died Friday.
She was born in Endicott.
She graduated from high school in Endicott and received a teaching certificate from Cheney Normal School.
She taught near Lancaster, Wash., for two years.
In 1926 she married John Poffenroth in Colfax.
They farmed near Endicott for 20 years and retired in 1967. They moved in to Endicott when they retired.
Her husband died in 1974, and Mrs. Poffenroth moved to Newport 10 years ago.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Endicott.
She is survived by two sons, Loren Poffenroth of Newport and Richard Poffenroth of Spokane; a sister, Leora Schmick of Moscow; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Lilah Woodbury Bonners Ferry, Idaho
Service for Lilah J. Woodbury, 91, will be today at 11 a.m. at the Bonners Ferry Funeral Home. Private interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Bonners Ferry.
Mrs. Woodbury, who was born in Baker, Ore., died Wednesday.
She grew up and was educated in Baker, graduating from high school there and working in her father’s grocery store. She attended a teachers’ college and received a teaching certificate.
She taught school in a logging camp in the Baker area before moving near Bonners Ferry to homestead. She operated a mink farm in the 1940s before selling it during World War II and moving to Eastport, Idaho.
Mrs. Woodbury moved to Bonners Ferry in 1973.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn.
Survivors include three grandsons, Rich Owsley of Oregon and Larry Owsley and Gary Fisher, both of Bonners Ferry; a granddaughter, Linda Johnson of Bonners Ferry; six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Robert Charlton Harrington, Wash.
Graveside service for Robert M. “Bob” Charlton, 82, will be at 2 p.m. today at Hillcrest Cemetery in Harrington. Strate Funeral Home of Davenport, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Charlton, who died Thursday, was born in Harrington.
He graduated from Harrington High School and worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps.
He enlisted in the Navy in 1942 and married Geraldine Fagan later that year.
Mr. Charlton served aboard the USS Chandeleur in the Pacific during World War II.
Following the war, he and his wife returned to Harrington, and he farmed and raised cattle. He also owned and trained thoroughbred horses until 1973.
He retired in 1980.
Mr. Charlton was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Karen Alexander of Enumclaw, Wash.; a son, Paul Charlton of Harrington; a sister, Elma Hearn of Portland; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Frank Schultz Davenport, Wash.
Vigil service for Frank J. Schultz, 88, will be at 7 p.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Mass is planned for 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
Mr. Schultz, a lifetime Davenport resident, died Saturday.
He was a farmer.
He was a member of St. Michael’s Mission in Davenport, the Washington Association of Wheat Growers and the Mondovi Grange and was a charter member of the Reardan Lions Club.
Mr. Schultz is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Rose Schultz; three sons, John Schultz of Reardan, Wash., Tom Schultz of Davenport and Jerry Schultz of Winthrop, Wash.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Elenita Scheffler Coeur d’Alene
Memorial service for Elenita Dale Scheffler, 78, will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Coeur d’Alene. Burial will precede the service at 1 p.m. at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene. Yates Funeral Home of Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Scheffler, who was born in Medicine Lake, Mont., died Saturday.
She was raised in Montana and moved to North Idaho in the late 1940s. She had worked as a seamstress out of her home for many years and also did domestic work for private families before retiring in the 1980s.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, Elden Jenkins of Everett; two daughters, Doris Merritt of Coeur d’Alene and Roberta Tyree of Spokane; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

George Booker Greenacres
Memorial service for George Edward Booker, 74, is set for 7 p.m. today at Valley Church of Christ. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Booker died Friday.
He was born and raised in Newton, Ill.
Mr. Booker married June Thorp in 1942 in Springfield, Ill., and they moved to Greenacres in 1976.
He worked for Quiki-Box in Greenacres for 10 years before retiring in 1986 due to poor health.
He was a member of Valley Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Joanna Tucker of Taylorville, Ill., and Alicia Miller of Veradale; a son, Daniel Booker of Coeur d’Alene; his mother, Gladys Booker of Folsom, Calif.; a sister, Ann Marie Booth of Citrus Heights, Calif.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Ronald Sloan Spokane
Memorial service for Ronald Lynn Sloan, 34, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at The Berean Bible Church, 10910 E. Boone. English Funeral Chapel of Post Falls is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Sloan, who was born in Spokane, died June 30 from Hodgkin’s disease.
He was a lifetime resident of Spokane and graduated from Central Valley High School in 1980. He graduated from Western Washington University in 1985.
Mr. Sloan worked as an excavation contractor in Spokane.
Survivors include his mother, Beverly Townsend of Post Falls; his father, Stan Sloan of Spokane; a sister, Renee Sloan of Post Falls; a brother, Rick Sloan of Spokane; his grandparents, Lynn and Vera Sloan of Spokane; a niece, Mackenzie; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pat Jones Eugene, Ore.
Memorial graveside service for Pat Richard Jones, 36, will be at noon today at Spokane Memorial Gardens. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of cremation.
Mr. Jones, who was born in Albany, Ore., died Wednesday of a heart attack in Eugene.
He was raised in the Fish Lake/ Cheney area and worked in lamination for boat companies.
Mr. Jones moved to Eugene a year ago and worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad.
He is survived by his mother, Jean Hudson of Spokane; a brother, Mike Jones of Spokane; and a sister, Carletta Rodriguez of Fresno, Calif.
Constance Martinelli Spokane
Service for Constance M. “Connie” Martinelli, 91, is set for 10 a.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mrs. Martinelli, who died Friday, was born in Italy.
She had lived in Spokane for 11 years and previously had lived in California.
She was an artist and specialized in china painting.
She is survived by a daughter, Lila Angelino of Colbert; and a sister, Grace Strilcic of California.
Theodore Schauerman Odessa, Wash.
Graveside service for Theodore “Ted” Schauerman, 81, is set for 11 a.m. today at the Odessa Cemetery. Strate Funeral Home of Davenport, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Odessa, Mr. Schauerman died Wednesday.
He graduated from high school in Odessa.
In 1940 he married Elsie Lodine Kaiser in Cheney.
He worked in the construction field with his father and uncle and in later years with his brother Mel, and son, Ken.
He was a member of Heritage United Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie Lodine Schauerman; a son, Ken Schauerman of Moses Lake; two brothers, Arthur and Melvin Schauerman, both of Odessa; three sisters, Alma Fulford of Redmond, Wash., Eleanor Sackmann of Yakima and Harriet Kaufmann of Tacoma; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Joseph Andrew Wellpinit, Wash.
Wake for Joseph Andrew, 78, is set for 7 p.m. today at the Spokane Tribal Longhouse in Wellpinit. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the longhouse, with burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Wellpinit. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements. Born in Wellpinit, Mr. Andrew died Friday. He worked in law enforcement for the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
He was a member of Horton-Strength Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3386 and the Spokane Tribe of Indians.
Mr. Andrew is survived by his wife, Alice Andrew; two daughters, Sandra Brown of Spokane and Debbie Andrew of Wellpinit; a son, George Andrew of Spokane; a sister, Alvina Andrew of Wellpinit; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Steven Vostitsianos Spokane
Memorial graveside service for Steven C. Vostitsianos, 28, will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Spokane Memorial Gardens. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Vostitsianos died June 30 of cancer.
He was born in Spokane and graduated from North Central High School.
Mr. Vostitsianos moved to Seattle seven years ago and worked in the catering department of the Marriott Hotel.
He returned to Spokane three months ago.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Candy and Jeff Hall of Spokane; his father, Daniel Vostitsianos of Spokane; a brother, Daniel Vostitsianos Jr. of Spokane; four sisters, Tammy Al-Shamlan, Mindi Yamayra and Rebecca Vostitsianos, all of Spokane, and Sara Vostitsianos of Montana; and his grandparents, Lester and Barbara Morgan, and Crystal Nordhagen, all of Spokane.
Rose Maxwell Spokane
Service for Rose May Maxwell, 106, will be at 2 p.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Mrs. Maxwell died Thursday.
She was born in Benson, Minn., and had lived in Spokane since 1923. She worked as a nanny.
She was a member of Central Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Mrs. Maxwell is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Douglas Evans Hayden Lake, Idaho
Memorial service for Daniel Ryan Evans, 47, will be at a later date. English Funeral Chapel of Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Evans, who was born in Minnesota, died Sunday.
He graduated from Ferguson High School in Lewistown, Mont., in 1965 and moved to Coeur d’Alene nine years ago.
Mr. Evans worked as a millwright in the construction industry.
Survivors include a son, David Evans of Spokane; a daughter, Robin Thompson of Las Vegas, Nev.; his parents, Leo and Caroline Evans of Hayden Lake; three brothers, Dean Evans of California, Mark Evans of Post Falls and Michael Evans of Denver; and a sister, Colleen Evans of Coeur d’Alene.

James Harwood Joal Harwood Spokane
A joint service for James T. and Joal T. Harwood will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home. Private burial will be at the Moran Prairie Cemetery.
Mr. Harwood, 39, and his 4-year-old son, Joal, died last Tuesday near Haugen, Mont., in an automobile accident.
Mr. Harwood was born in Butte, Mont., and graduated from high school there.
He had lived in Spokane for 16 years and worked in the optical field for Plastoptics Inc., Northern Optical and American Optical.
For the past five years he had worked for the Boeing Co. as a machinist.
He was a member of the Machinists Union.
Mr. Harwood is survived by his wife of 17 years, Sharol Harwood, and a daughter, Brandi Harwood, both at home; his parents, Alton and Barbara Harwood of Butte; three brothers, Charles Harwood of Newman Lake, and John and Robert Harwood, both of Butte; two sisters, Ruth Walters and Jeanette Clark, both of Butte; and his grandmother, Ruth Miller of Willow Creek, Mont.
Joal Harwood, 4, was born in Spokane.
Joal’s survivors include his mother and sister and others listed above as well as his maternal grandparents, Albert and Kathy Perucca of Great Falls, Mont., and his maternal great-grandmother, Virginia Etherington of Ogden, Utah.
Herbert Haase Odessa, Wash.
Service for Herbert D. Haase, 82, will be at 11 a.m. today at Heritage United Church of Christ in Odessa. Strate Funeral Home of Odessa is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Haase died Wednesday.
He was born in Odessa.
He worked for farmers in the Lind/ Odessa area and married Ella Getzinger in 1935 in Odessa.
Mr. Haase retired in 1973.
He was a member of Heritage United Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Geraldine King and Terri Schmierer, both of Odessa, Joyce Told of Mount Vernon, Wash., and Cheryl Sacco of Everett; a son, Lorus “Bud” Haase of Odessa; four sisters, Elsie Winter and Louella Smith, both of Odessa, Alma Burkholz of Kettle Falls, Wash., and Ruth Schumaker of Ritzville, Wash.; two brothers, Richard Haase of Colville, Wash., and Donald Haase of Wilson Creek, Wash.; 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Alice Mill Amber

Mrs. Mill died Friday. She was a lifetime Amber resident.
She graduated from high school in Amber.
She married Les Mill in 1937 in Spokane.
Mrs. Mill worked as cook for the Amber School for 12 years.
She was a member of Cheney United Methodist Church, Amber Grange and the Tillicum Club and was a charter member of the Young Gals Bridge Club.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Ron Mill of Amber; a daughter, Janice Kee of Sandy, Utah; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Robert Reedy Spokane
Visitation for Robert L. Reedy, 80, is scheduled from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home. Service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial at Pines Cemetery.
Mr. Reedy, who was born in Valleyford, died Saturday.
He grew up in Fairfield and graduated from high school there. He served in the Navy during World War II.
He worked for Kaiser Aluminum and Ideal Cement. He also owned the Cozy Inn for several years.
Mr. Reedy retired in 1981.
His wife of 40 years, Maudie Reedy, died March 4.
Mr. Reedy is survived by two sons, Bob Reedy Jr. of Carmichael, Calif., and Ted Reedy of Federal Way, Wash.; a stepson, Don Lewis of Spokane; two sisters, Nellie Pritchard of Rochester, Wash., and Pauline Luther of Anaheim, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
Dorothy Fox Spokane
Memorial service for Dorothy E. Fox, 72, was Monday at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Fox died Wednesday.
She was born in Tyler, Wash., and graduated from high school in Otis Orchards.
In 1943 she married Donald Fox in Seattle.
She worked for the Davenport Hotel as a waitress and also owned T & H Grocery in Mead in the 1950s.
She worked for several restaurants in Portland during the 1960s and 1970s before returning to Spokane in 1979.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years; three sons, Thomas and Richard Fox, both of Spokane, and Jerry Fox of Newman Lake; two sisters, Stella Pierce of Spokane and Ethel Butts of Otis Orchards; a brother, Lewis “Bud” Ableman Jr., of Crescent City, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
