From Staff And Wire Reports

Police are still looking for an armed robber who took money from the 7 Eleven store on Best Avenue earlier this month.

Coeur d’Alene police on Monday released a photograph of the robber taken by the store’s surveillance camera. They ask that anyone with information call police at (208) 769-2290.

The robber, who is believed to be about 20 years old, arrived at the store on Dec. 4 at about 2:10 a.m. He walked up to the counter and pulled out a gun, pointed it at the clerk’s chest and demanded, “Give me all your money,” according to a police report.

The clerk opened the register and gave the robber the money. The robber told the clerk to get down on the floor and then left the store.

He is described as white male about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 180 pounds. He was clean shaven with brown hair. He was wearing a black knit hat, a heavy blue windbreaker with zippered front. The jacket was waist length. He also was wearing dark pants an light colored tennis shoes.

The robber used a large semi-automatic handgun with black metal finish and a 9-inch barrel, according to the police report.
