Valley Christian Picks Up Where It Left Off Last Season

Valley Christian’s hot streak from the end of last year hasn’t cooled.

Derek Sandin hit a pair of third-quarter 3-pointers Saturday to lift the Class B Panthers (2-0) to a 50-39 non-league win over the visiting, Class A Scotties (0-3).

VC nearly made the state tournament last year after entering district with a losing record. Just three players graduated, giving the Panthers solid footing heading into the Bi-County League season, which begins Friday.
