NEW FACES:

The Waterford has added the following two people to its staff:

Julie Kent was named nursing services manager at Waterford’s South Hill Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Kent graduated from North Idaho College and previously worked as director of nursing for Beverly Corp., and as a nurse consultant for Washington and Idaho.

Marie Doneen was named director of social services and admissions at the South Hill Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Doneen is a graduate of Central Washington University and formerly worked as the director of social services at Cheney Care Center.

Mark Patrick has joined Sedgwick Noble Lowndes as a consultant. Patrick previously worked as an account executive for QualMed Plans for Health.

John Schram has joined Linsco/ Private Ledger in the Flour Mill as an investment adviser representative. Schram will specialize in retirement and estate planning with non-profit organizations and small business owners.

Neil Walter has returned to the private practice of law with Coeur d’Alene attorney Glen Walker. Walter practiced law in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, for 17 years before serving as a magistrate judge for more than 12 years. His law practice will focus on business, real estate, family law, probate and estate planning.

Ken Morgan has returned to Telect Inc., after a two-year absence, as manager of the virtual media group. Morgan has more than 10 years of experience in information development, research and presentation and 20 years of military operation and management experience.

Windermere’s Spokane-East Sprague office added James Young, Linda Johnson and Jesse Wolff as sales associates.

Wolff, who is new to real estate, has worked with Alvin J. Wolff Inc. since 1992. He studied business at Washington State University and Eastern Washington University.

Young has two years of real estate experience with Tomlinson Black Valley Inc. He holds a Graduate Realtors Institute (GRI) designation.

Johnson is new to real estate. She has been self-employed with Linbrook Equines since 1993 and has marketing experience with Coca Cola of Alaska and sales and management experience with two television stations.

MOVING UP:

Sedgwick James of Washington Inc. has promoted Carla Holt to supervisor of its surety department. Holt has been with Sedgwick for 10 years and has worked in the industry for 25 years.

Sterling Savings Association has promoted the following people in its Private Banking Department:

Nancy McDaniel was named vice president. McDaniel joined Sterling as a private banking loan officer in 1994 and was previously with U.S. Bank. She has held various management positions in commercial lending, operations, sales and business development during 10 years in banking.

Rick Fisher was named assistant vice president. Fisher joined Sterling in 1995 as a private banking loan officer and was with Bank of Whitman for six years, most recently as assistant vice president. He administered Bank of Whitman’s home loan department and managed three branches.

James Parrish, administrator of East Adams Rural Hospital in Ritzville, has advanced to Fellow status in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Fellow status is the highest level of professional achievement in the college, which represents more than 30,000 health care executives.

Bill Justus has been promoted to senior branch manager of West One Bank-Idaho’s Sandpoint office. Justus previously spent 22 years in the banking industry in Eastern Washington with U.S. Bank, most recently as a credit approval officer in Spokane.

Telect Inc. has promoted Sheri Sinn to manager of its research, advertising and promotions group. Sinn, who joined the company seven years ago, most recently served as marketing coordinator.

STARTING UP:

Spectrum Telecom Systems International Inc. opened an office in Spokane at the Tapio Office Center. John Martin will be the Northwest regional manager of the full-service consulting, engineering and systems integration company.

Dr. Michael Carraher has opened an office for the practice of internal medicine and occupational medicine at the Idaho Business Center in Post Falls. A former Army medic and physician’s assistant, Carraher is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Medicine. He previously worked for Group Health Northwest in Coeur d’Alene and most recently was medical director of the occupational medicine program at Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane.

CERTIFICATIONS:

The following staff members of Lilac City Gymnastics earned National Safety Certifications from USA Gymnastics: Shannon Adams, Stoyan Katzarski, Fred Smith, Linda Smith and Eric VanZee.

OPPORTUNITIES:

The 11th annual Idaho Grain Producers Association (IGPA) Grain Art Contest and Auction will be Nov. 19-21 at Templin’s Best Western Hotel in Post Falls during the Idaho Grain Producers Association 40th Annual Convention and Trade Show. The contest is open to the public and participants do not have to be a member of the IGPA.
