Lost Grenade Blast Kills Soldier, Hurts 11

A grenade that killed one soldier and wounded 11 others on a firing range had been lost three days earlier and blew up as soldiers were searching for it, the Army said Wednesday.

Army investigators still were looking into Tuesday’s accident.Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment were training with grenades Saturday on the post’s firing range when one soldier noticed a grenade missing from his equipment belt.
