Alta Reid Coeur d’Alene
At her request, no service will be held for Alta E. Reid, 95. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Reid, who was born in Missouri, died Wednesday.
She was raised in Farmington, Wash., and farmed in the Fairfield area before going to the Yukon Territory as a gold mine camp cook.
She moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1932 and helped run the family business, Reid Brothers Texaco, until retiring in 1965. She was active in square dancing clubs.
Mrs. Reid was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Floyd, in 1969. Survivors include two nephews, William Redmond of Coeur d’Alene and Dean Redmond of Bayview; and three nieces, Eileen Russell of Coeur d’Alene, Diane Hurley of Farmington and Cathy Lieberman of Mercer Island, Wash.; and numerous greatnieces and great-nephews.

Lettie Edgar Priest River
Service for Lettie Mae Edgar, 78, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Priest River, Idaho. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Priest River.
Mrs. Edgar, who was born in Barnes, Wis., died Wednesday.
She graduated from Newport High School and married Glen Edgar in Kellogg the following year.
In 1943 they moved near Priest River. They farmed in the area and sold milk. In 1971 they sold their farm and moved into Priest River.
She and her husband both worked as real estate agents for the McInnis Real Estate Agency and for G&L Realty.
Mrs. Edgar was a member of Peninsula Union Church.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Glen; three daughters, Nancy Hirst of Priest River, Patricia Fox of Moses Lake and Glenda Moore of Rathdrum, Idaho; one son, Robert Edgar of Monmouth, Ore.; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Fredric ‘Fritz’ Gleason
Priest River Service for Fredric N. “Fritz” Gleason, 80, was Friday at Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Newport, Wash. Private inurnment will be at a later date in Montana.
Mr. Gleason, a 51-year resident of rural Priest River, died Monday. He was born in Merrill, Wis.
In 1939 he married Irene Krause in Merrill. They moved to Priest River from Montana in 1944.
He entered the National Guard when he was 18 and then served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He enlisted in the Army during World War II.
From the late 1950s until 1974, Mr. Gleason and his wife owned the Green Owl Tavern near Priest River.
His wife died in 1995.
He is survived by two sons, James and Roger Gleason, both of Anchorage, Alaska; three brothers, Ken and David Gleason, both of Wisconsin; and Jack Gleason of Spokane; one sister, Frances of Wisconsin, and three grandchildren.
Anthony ‘Don’ Muzatko Cheney
Service for Anthony R. “Don” Muzatko, 64, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Muzatko, who died Wednesday, was a lifetime Spokane resident.
He graduated from Gonzaga Prep.
He served in the Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS St. Paul.
He worked at Griffith and Orr Shell Station in Spokane for 14 years, with the Spokane County Engineering Department for 26 years, and for the past five years as an inspector for Spokane County.
He was active for 18 years with Boy Scout Troop No. 356 in Cheney and was a member of the Four Lakes Grange, Cheney Lions Club, and the Four Lakes Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Karolyn Muzatko; one son, Rick Muzatko of Cheney; three brothers, John “Jack,” Edward and James Muzatko, all of Spokane; and five sisters, Marianne Wren of Cottonwood, Idaho, Alice Mackleit of LaCrosse, Wash., Linda Peterson of Colbert, Suzanne Richardson of Cheney and Deborah Egger of Seattle.

Fredrick Haines St. Maries
Service for Fredrick W. Haines, 62, will be held Friday at noon at Yates-Hodge Funeral Home in St. Maries.
Mr. Haines, who was born in California, died April 14.
He grew up in East Los Angeles and San Jose, Calif., before serving two years in the Air Force.
He moved to Harrison in 1964 and was a self-employed cabinetmaker.
He later moved to Arizona, returning to the St. Maries area in 1989 after semiretiring. He was a cabinetmaker for over 40 years and continued his trade in St. Maries.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; two sons, Fred and Ray Haines, both of St. Maries; three daughters, Sandra Haines of St. Maries, Midge Haines of Harrison and Teresa Kraack of Harrison Flats; nine brothers and sisters, 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Caroline Wagner Coeur d’Alene
Graveside service for Caroline Julia Wagner, 85, will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wagner, who was born in Chicago, died Monday.
She moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1991 from Seaside, Ore.
Mrs. Wagner was preceded in death by two husbands. Survivors include one son, Robert Gibbons of St. Anthony, Idaho; daughter, Robbyn Gibbons of Las Vegas, Nev.; and two sisters, of Washington and California.
Denise Barigar Corvallis, Ore.
Service for Denise L. Barigar, a former Spokane resident, was Friday at the Church of the Good Samaritan Episcopal Church in Corvallis. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Pines Cemetery in Spokane. McHenry Funeral Home in Corvallis is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Barigar, 48, was shot to death Tuesday. She was born in Sunnyside, Wash.
She graduated from high school in Montana and received a nursing degree from Eastern Washington University in 1980. She later received a master’s degree from Washington State University.
In 1977 she married Steve Trapp in Spokane.
Mrs. Barigar worked as a nurse at Deaconess Medical Center from 1977 until 1991, when she moved to Corvallis to accept the position of nurse supervisor in the intensive care unit at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Her husband was a teacher for Spokane School District 81 for nearly 20 years and had taught at Ridgeview Elementary School.
Survivors include her husband, Steve; two daughters, Tana Buchholz of Hamilton, Mont., and Catherine Trapp of Seattle; two sons, Bret Huotari of Winlock, Wash., and David Trapp of Spokane; her mother, Lucille Gordinier of Enumclaw, Wash.; one sister, Betty Barigar-Fiamengo of Fall City, Wash.; two brothers, Gary Rich of Kittitas, Wash., and Kim Barigar of Issaquah, Wash.; and five grandchildren.

Eugene Linke Pendleton, Ore.
Memorial service for Eugene A. Linke, 55, will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Herring Funeral Home in Walla Walla. There will be private burial Mr. Linke, who was born in Chewelah, Wash., died Tuesday.
He moved to Walla Walla with his family when he was 2 and graduated from high school there. He graduated from the University of Washington In 1960 he married Carol Royse. They were later divorced.
Mr. Linke lived in Spokane from 1971 until 1990, when he moved to Kennewick. He had lived in Pendleton since 1994.
He was a self-employed real estate appraiser and a member of the Manito Middies Church Club in Spokane.
He is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Linke of Spokane; one son, Brian Linke of Pendleton; his mother, Vera Linke of Walla Walla; one sister, Veneta Hunt of Nevada; and one brother, Donald Linke of Walla Walla.

Marijane O’Brien Spokane
Visitation for Marijane R. O’Brien, 74, is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home. Vigil service is set for 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Monday at the church.
Mrs. O’Brien died Wednesday. She was born in St. Maries, Idaho.
She graduated from St. Maries High School and from the Sacred Heart School of Nursing. She completed post-graduate work at Washington State University.
Mrs. O’Brien worked as a surgical nurse at Sacred Heart Medical Center.
She had lived in Spokane for 56 years and was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Altar Society.
Her husband, Richard O’Brien, died in 1991.
She is survived by three sons, Gregory O’Brien of Washington, D.C., Michael O’Brien of Spokane and John O’Brien of Seattle; two daughters, Kathleen O’Brien of Spokane and Jeanne Peterson of Washington, D.C.; one brother, Jack Gregory of Spokane; and 10 grandchildren. Beth Hornecker Albany, Ore.
Memorial service for Beth Lorraine Hornecker, 74, is planned for 2 p.m. Monday at First Assembly Church in Albany. Fisher Funeral Home in Albany is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hornecker, a former Spokane resident, died Wednesday. She was born in Deer Park.
She married George Hornecker in Ephrata, Wash., in 1950. He died in 1973.
She lived in Yakima for several years and moved to Spokane in 1979. After her husband died, she spent a few years in Hawaii, and she lived in Spokane until 1993, when she moved to Albany.
She had worked as a cook and a waitress and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Hornecker is survived by four daughters, Terry Probst of Lebanon, Ore., Tamara Vineyard of Albany; Mae Hanson of Fairfield and Neecha Treglown of Spokane; one son, Glen Casberg of Deer Park; two brothers, David Boggs of Blanchard, Idaho, and Melvin Boggs of Spokane; one sister, Judy Christiansen of Tum Tum, Wash.; 20 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren.
Marian (Jeardeau) Schneider Spokane
Memorial service for Marian Frances (Jeardeau) Schneider, 93, will be at 1 p.m. today at The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of cremation.
Mrs. Schneider, who died last Saturday, was born near Plattesville, Wis.
She graduated from high school in McClusky, N.D., and graduated from Western Washington State College.
She began teaching in a one-room schoolhouse in North Dakota and moved to Cascade, Mont., where she taught for two years. She moved to Spokane in 1930.
She taught kindergarten and primary grades in many Spokane schools and retired in 1965.
Mrs. Schneider was a member of St. John’s Cathedral, St. Mary’s Guild of the Cathedral and the American Association of University Women. She also taught church school.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, David Schneider; one daughter, Sarah “Sally” Noble of Spokane; one son, David Schneider of Renton, Wash.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Martin Sackmann Lind, Wash.
Service for Martin Sackmann, 90, will be at 11 a.m. today at Zion Congregational United Church of Christ in Lind. Burial will follow at Lind Cemetery. Danekas Funeral Home in Ritzville, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Sackmann, who died Wednesday, was a lifetime Lind resident.
He began farming with his parents when he was very young, and in 1929 he began farming on his own, three miles north of Lind.
He married Martha Wahl in 1934 and farmed the Fred Borth ranch from 1941 until 1955, when he retired and moved into Lind. His wife died in 1976.
He married Anna Klettke in 1979.
He was a member of Lind Zion Congregational United Church of Christ.
Mr. Sackmann is survived by his wife; three brothers, Albert, Godfrey and Emil Sackmann, all of Lind; and six sisters, Rebecca Krug of Spokane, Ella Biggar of Gresham, Ore., Elsie Overvold of Yakima, Martha Wahl of Vancouver, Wash., Hilda Ruff of Moses Lake and Esther Jeske of Lind.
Louis Trembath Deer Park
Graveside service for Louis Lincoln Trembath, 83, will be today at Oak Hill Cemetery in San Jose, Calif. Lauer Funeral Home in Deer Park is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Trembath, who died Sunday, was born in San Jose.
He had operated a tire store in San Jose and moved to Deer Park in the mid-1970s.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, honorary associate guardian for Job’s Daughters Bethel No. 29 in Deer Park, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the American Association of Retired Persons.
His first wife, Josephine Trembath, died in 1965.
He is survived by his wife, Ellouise Trembath; one son, Ronald Trembath of Longview, Wash.; two daughters, Norrien Schoennauer of San Jose and Michelle Trembath of Salt Lake City; one stepson, Kenneth Hall of Mantica, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Shirley Hall of Deer Park and Wendi Hawkins of Ravensdale, Calif.; four grandchildren, one great-grandson, seven stepgrandchildren and six stepgreat-grandchildren.
Roy Domitrovich Spokane
Memorial service for Roy Domitrovich, 70, will be at 11 a.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home.
Mr. Domitrovich, who was born in Onion Creek, Wash., died Wednesday.
He was a dryer operator for an Idaho veneer plant for 22 years, retiring in 1991. He was a 40-year Spokane resident.
He served in the Army during World War II.
Mr. Domitrovich is survived by his wife of 45 years, Frances; two sons, David Domitrovich of Spokane and Richard Pierce of Fort Worth, Texas; two brothers, Jim Domit of Spokane and Robert Domit of Arizona; four sisters, Doris Berg of Boulder, Colo., Mary Johnson of Portland, Joanne Berger of Mesa, Ariz., and Violet Boggess of Spokane; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Lona Berglund Portland
Memorial service for Lona Irene Berglund, a former Spokane resident, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home.
Mrs. Berglund, who died April 20 in Gresham, Ore., was born in Escanaba, Mich. She was 97.
She lived in Coeur d’Alene before moving to Spokane in 1910.
She married John Berglund in 1932. He died in 1987, and she moved to Portland in 1988.
She was a homemaker and served as a volunteer in the Veterans Affairs Hospital library.
Survivors include one sister, Bernice Budd of Gresham.
