Hayden Library Hosts Reading

The Hayden branch of the Kootenai County Libraries will host “A Reader’s Theater Special Event: Women’s Experiences on the Oregon Trail,” Sunday at 3 p.m.

Speaker Janet Ward and five community volunteers will read a script of diary excerpts from the book “Women’s Diaries of the Westward Journey,” by Lillian Schlissel. The 25-minute session will be followed by a question and answer period.

Ward has traveled the Oregon Trail and studied its lore for 30 years. For more information, call Marilyn Hermstad at 772-5612.
