Lobo, Mother To Write A Book

She led Connecticut to the 1995 NCAA women’s basketball title, bantered with David Letterman and jogged with President Clinton. Now Rebecca Lobo is writing a book.

“The Home Team,” which she is co-authoring with her mother RuthAnn, focuses on growing up in Southwick, Mass., as much as being a star player on the undefeated Huskies team and making the USA women’s national team.

“It is a mother’s and daughter’s perspective on life. Our life,” said RuthAnn, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1993. The cancer is in remission.
