Loyd Ronald Spokane

Service for Loyd Christian Ronald, 80, will be at 11 a.m. today at Colville (Wash.) Congregational Church. Graveside service will follow at Mountain View Park Cemetery. Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Ronald, who was born in Adams, N.D., died Thursday.

He moved to Colville with his family when he was five and graduated from high school there.

He had served in the Army and worked for the postal service for many years and retired as assistant postmaster in Colville in 1973.

He and his wife, Mary, moved to Spokane in 1990.

He was a member of Frank Starr American Legion Post, the Colville Lions Club and the Retired Postal Workers Association.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years; two daughters, Diane Jolley-Stanley of Bay City, Texas, and Linda Heiss of Kent, Wash.; one sister, Thelma Krell of Spokane; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
