Parents To Split Ashes From Dahmer’s Body

An inmate’s sentencing for the murder of Jeffrey Dahmer means the serial killer’s parents can finally carry out his wish to be cremated.

Dahmer’s mother, Joyce Flint, of Fresno, Calif., and father, Lionel Dahmer of Cleveland, planned to cremate the body and split the ashes, Columbia County Coroner Keith Epps said Tuesday.

Dahmer’s body has been in state custody pending the outcome of murder charges against Christopher J. Scarver, who admitted bludgeoning Dahmer to death at Columbia Correctional Institution on Nov. 28.

Scarver pleaded no contest on Monday. The judge sentenced him to two consecutive life terms, plus 30 years.
