Men, Dogs Rescued From Sinking Boat
A pair of men and their two dogs were rescued after the 33-foot pleasure boat they were in began taking on water one mile south of Elger Bay in Saratoga Pass.
The Coast Guard said it used a helicopter and utility boat from Seattle for Friday night’s rescue.
The occupants of the vessel, who were not injured, were not immediately identified.
After receiving the mayday, the Coast Guard dispatched a helicopter to the area where the boat was sinking. A good Samaritan from shore took the men and dogs off the boat and transported them to shore, the Coast Guard said.
