Police blotter

Kootenai County Sheriff

Barry Stearns, manager for Alpine Lumber, Post Falls, reported Friday the $1,400 theft of 100 pieces of lumber from the business, 2000 N. Highway 41.

Lee Boling reported Thursday the $2,982 theft of water skiing equipment, a TV and VCR, satellite receiver, motor and two speakers from his lake cabin near Carlin Bay, Lake Coeur d’Alene.

Gail Jorgensen reported Sunday that someone broke into her ex-husband’s home in the 32600 block of Hayden Drive, causing $100 damage, and stole four guns, stereo and entertainment equipment valued at $6,680.

William Delack, owner of Papa Murphy’s, 385 N. Hayden, reported Saturday the theft of a safe and its contents of $1,000 in checks, $1,950 in cash.

Craig Cardwell reported Sunday the $574 theft of two chain saws from a storage building at his residence in the 3800 block of Seasons Road, Rathdrum.

Post Falls Police

Riverbend Inn, 4105 W. Riverbend, reported Friday the $680 theft of a CB radio, tools and miscellaneous items from a diesel truck belonging to a guest.

Mark Evans reported Friday the $800 theft of a Stihl chain saw from a vehicle parked in the 500 block of Second Avenue.

Coeur d’Alene Police

Guy Ferguson, manager for Big Y Travel Plaza, 2301 Sherman Ave., reported Friday that someone pushed the cash register off the counter causing an estimated $4,000 damage.

Carl Pfaff, owner of Castaway Fly Fishing Shop, 210 Sherman Ave., reported Sunday the $727 theft of two mannequins and the clothing they were wearing from the store.

Burton Rau, manager, reported Friday the $960 theft of a Quasar 8mm palmcorder from Courtesy Rent To Own, 3210 Government Way, Hayden.

Todd Huck reported Friday that someone caused $750 damage to his car by jumping on its roof while it was parked in the 900 block of Mullan Ave.

Robert Kirwan reported Saturday $750 damage to his ‘90 Chevy Blazer. Someone threw a rock through the rear window while it was parked at home in the 2500 block of S. Fairway Drive.

John Corcoran reported Saturday the $800 theft of his trailer parked in his back yard in the 300 block of Garden.

Kevin Mylan reported Saturday $2,000 damage to his ‘72 Chevy Blazer when someone poured corrosive liquid on it while it was parked at his home in the 800 block of 11th St.
