Veteran actor Anthony Quinn tells all in his new book, “One Man Tango,” including romantic encounters with Rita Hayworth, Carole Lombard and … George Cukor?
When he danced with Hayworth, writes the 80-year-old Quinn, “We moved like lovers - which in fact, we were, by the time we wrapped the picture ‘Blood and Sand.”’
As for Lombard, he says regretfully, the relationship “never progressed beyond healthy indiscretion.”
And Quinn says Cukor, the late director of “The Philadelphia Story,” came on to him following a night of drinking and studying girlie magazines.
When Quinn rebuffed the advance, he writes: “Cukor screamed after me, ‘You’ll never be an actor again!”’
