Three In Zambia May Have Ebola

Compiled From Wire Services

Three people possibly infected with the deadly Ebola virus have been quarantined in northern Zambia near the border with Zaire, an official said Wednesday.

The three women were bleeding from the mouth and nose and complained of fever, all symptoms of Ebola, district official Timothy Phiri said.

The remote town is more than 750 miles east of Kikwit in Zaire, where an outbreak of the Ebola virus has killed at least 220 people.
