Greenup Pleads Innocent To Unlicensed Farm

Associated Press

Calvin Greenup pleaded innocent Wednesday in justice court to operating an unlicensed game farm.

Greenup, the Montana leader of the North American Volunteer Militia, surrendered to authorities on June 1 and pleaded innocent in District Court to criminal syndicalism, which is advocating violence or criminal acts for political purposes.

At that time, Greenup was released on a $100,000 property bond put up by his parents.

Justice of the Peace Ed Sperry did not add to the bond on the game farm charge.

On April 13, the state seized 10 elk from his farm south of Darby.
