Frank No-Hits Ev

Legion baseball

Right-hander Dave Frank faced just 22 batters - one over the limit - in pitching a no-hitter in Spokane Athletic Supply’s 5-0 American Legion baseball victory over East Valley Merchants Wednesday night at Central Valley.

Frank struck out three batters and walked two in the seven-inning game. Spokane Athletic Supply played errorless ball.

Shortstop Andrew Larson had three of Spokane Athletic Supply’s three hits, including a double, and also scored three runs. No other batter had more than one hit.

The closest thing to a hit for East Valley was a line drive snagged at the left-field line on a running catch by Brady Nelson.

At Shadle Park’s Al K. Jackson Field, KC Stars edged PAC 6-5 on Justin Fox’s sixth-inning RBI single.

At Cheney, Spokane Federal Credit Union blanked Maxwell House 4-0 behind Tucker Urdahl’s one-hitter. Urdahl struck out four.
