Robert Parrill Spokane
Service for Robert W. Parrill, 82, is planned for 2 p.m. Friday at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home. Burial will be at Pines Cemetery.
A lifetime Spokane resident, Mr. Parrill, died Monday.
He graduated from West Valley High School and Sacramento Junior College, and served in the Army as an engineer during World War II.
He was a building contractor and airplane mechanic.
Mr. Parrill was a member of Carpenters Union Local 98, the Valley Eagles and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1435.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bernie Parrill; one daughter, Rogene Uttke of Opportunity; and three grandchildren.

Ivan Matteson Chewelah, Wash.
Service for Ivan G. Matteson, 90, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Chewelah, with burial to follow at Chewelah Memorial Park.
Mr. Matteson, who died Saturday, was born in Ladora, Iowa.
He graduated from law school and worked for the Department of Immigration for 33 years. He retired in 1959.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He moved to Chewelah in 1970.
Mr. Matteson is survived by two sons, Jerry Matteson of Chewelah and Lester Robinson of Auburn, Wash.; one daughter, Pat Sitton of Spokane; two sisters, Lela Ivy of Alamo, Texas, and Treva Timm of Phoenix; 16 grandchildren and 21 greatgrandchildren.

George Allen Coulee Dam, Wash.
Memorial service for George F. Allen, 74, is set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Coulee Dam Community Church. Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Allen, who died Wednesday at home, was born in Omaha, Ill.
He had been a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 44 years.
He served in the Marine Corps during World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Grand Coulee Dam Seniors.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons, Jerry Allen of Rock Hill, S.C., and John Allen of Riverside, Calif.; two daughters, Melanie Rogers of Corona, Calif., and Theresa Allen of Spokane; three sisters, Ruth Noon of Mount Vernon, Ind., and Ruby Allen and Rosalie Rogers, both of Omaha; and one grandchild.

Harvey Brady Spokane
Service for Harvey Hyrum Brady, 61, will be at noon today at the Latter-day Saints Evergreen Chapel. Burial will be at Murray (Utah) City Cemetery. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Salt Lake City, Mr. Brady died Saturday from a heart attack.
He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War.
Mr. Brady moved to Spokane in 1978 and was a general contractor.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ruth; three daughters, Becky Derrick of Salt Lake City, and Marilyn Montour and Janet Dietzel, both of Spokane; two sons, Douglas “Zan” Brady and Donald Brady, both of Spokane; two brothers and six sisters; and 16 grandchildren.
Mary Haeseker Spokane
Service for Mary E. Haeseker, 69, is planned for 10 a.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
Born in Delphos, Ohio, Mrs. Haeseker died Monday.
She had worked as a meat packer and had lived in Spokane for the past 25 years.
She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 1474.
Mrs. Haeseker is survived by one daughter, Patrina Oestman of Edwall, Wash.; one son, David Haeseker of Spokane; one grandson and two greatgrandchildren.
Barbara Doolittle Spokane
Private inurnment for Barbara A. Doolittle, 55, will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Priest River, Idaho. Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Newport, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Doolittle died Sunday. She had multiple sclerosis.
She was born in Walla Walla and graduated from Priest River High School.
She served in the Army from 1957 until 1961 and worked for the American Automobile Association in Los Angeles for 27 years.
She moved to Priest River in 1985, and to Spokane a few years later.
She was a member of Pend Oreille Chapter 62 of the Order of the Eastern Star and was president of the Residence Council of Spokane Nursing Homes.
Survivors include two daughters, Stephanie Diaz of Germany and Jackie Solomon of Seattle; her mother, Jean Doolittle of Spokane; one sister, Hazel Parker of Colfax, Wash.; two brothers, Michael Grady of Spokane and Randall Grady of Kennewick; and five grandchildren.
Dorothy Mueller Coeur d’Alene
Memorial service for Dorothy Jean Mueller, 79, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at English Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene.
Mrs. Mueller, who was born in Mackay, Idaho, died Saturday at home.
She graduated from the University of Idaho in 1938 and was a secretary for the university until 1940.
She married Fred Mueller in Rupert, Idaho, in 1940.
Mrs. Mueller was a homemaker who helped with the bookkeeping at the family business, Mueller’s Building Supplies and Fuel.
She was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Coeur d’Alene.
Survivors include her husband, at home; one son, Frederick Mueller of Tatlayoko Lake, British Columbia; one daughter, Kathy Washburn of Rose Lake; one sister, Macey Steile of Jerome, Idaho; and five grandchildren, Lisa, Andrea, Frederick, Leet and Cedar.

Wayne Wilson Colfax, Wash.
Service for Wayne Wallace Wilson, 88, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Kimball Funeral Home in Pullman. Burial will be at Hatley Cemetery, west of Pullman. Kimball Funeral Home in Pullman is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Wilson, who died Saturday from a heart attack, was born in Albion, Wash.
He worked for Carl Boyd Farms in Pullman from 1926 until 1956. He had lived in Pullman, Clarkston, Wash., and for the plast six months, in Colfax.
In 1956, he began working for Washington State University in the Food and Housing division. He retired in 1971.
Mr. Wilson was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Pullman Senior Citizens.
His second wife, Alice Wilson, died in 1966. His third wife, May Wilson, died last year.
He is survived by one son, DeWayne Wilson of Boise; one sister, Beulah Kitzmiller Colby of Longview, Wash.; two grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.

Marion Krauss Spokane
Memorial service for Marion Elizabeth Krauss, 79, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Miss Krauss, who died Saturday, was born in Fort Washington, Pa.
She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing and received a master’s degree from the University of Colorado.
She had lived in Spokane for 42 years and was a nurse for Spokane County Public Health.
Miss Krauss was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the Spokane Camera Club, the Native Plant Society and The Mushroom Club and was an honorary member of the Spokane Mountaineers. She was a Stephen minister and treasurer of Keenagers.
She is survived by one sister, Jeanette Twining of Pennsylvania.

Ruth Chambers Post Falls
Vigil for Ruth Lorraine Chambers, 72, will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at English Funeral Chapel, Post Falls.
Mrs. Chambers, who was born in Chatcolet, Idaho, died Sunday in Coeur d’Alene.
She married Homer Chambers in Medford, Ore., in 1944, and moved to the Post Falls area in 1969 from Spokane.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. George Catholic Church in Post Falls.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Chambers, in 1985.
Survivors include her husband, at the home; one son, James Chambers of Hayden Lake, Idaho; one daughter, Julie Engan of Post Falls; and one sister, Eleanor Wilson of Spokane.
Robert Wilson Colville, Wash.
Memorial service for Robert O. Wilson, 81, will be at 2 p.m. today at Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville.
Mr. Wilson, a former Valley, Wash., resident, died Friday.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
Mr. Wilson worked as a welder in heavy construction. He was a member of Operating Engineers Union Local 302.
He retired 20 years ago to Valley, Wash. He had lived in Colville for the past five years.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marjorie Wilson; three half-sisters, Marion Burtfield of Lafayette, Calif., Lee Ennes of Vacaville, Calif., and Sadie Kowalski of Sonora, Calif.; and two half-brothers, Del Wilson of Portland and Jim Wilson of Carson City, Nev.
Lenora Macrie Carmichael, Calif.
Graveside service for Lenora Faythe Macrie, 87, was held Tuesday at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Macrie, a former 63-year Spokane resident, died Wednesday.
She was born in Idaho.
She moved to California with her husband, the late Joseph Macrie, more than 20 years ago.
Mrs. Macrie was a member of the Daughters of the Nile.
She is survived by one son, James Macrie of Folsom, Calif.; three grandchildren and four greatgrandsons.
Charlotte Grout Spokane
Service for Charlotte M. Grout, 72, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Sunset Mausoleum Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park. Private burial will follow. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Grout, who died Sunday, was born in Butte, Mont.
She graduated from Butte High School and then enlisted in the Marine Corps.
She attended the Montana School of Mines and Kinman Business University and worked as a bookkeeper for the Spokane Flour Mill, Griden Calculating Machine Co. and Cliff’s Quality Autos.
She was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and the Spokane Post 9 of the American Legion.
Her husband, Clifford A. Grout, died in 1992.
She is survived by one son, Clifford Grout II of Spokane.

Lucy O’Brien Ephrata, Wash.
Vigil service for Lucy W. O’Brien, 91, will be held at 7 p.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Mass is planned for 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Ann Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Born in McHenry, N.D., Mrs. O’Brien died Sunday in Ephrata, where she had lived for the past three years.
She had lived in Spokane from 1943 to 1992. She was a furrier for Spokane Fur and Alfred Boge Furriers for many years.
She was a member of St. Ann Parish.
Mrs. O’Brien’s husband, Joseph “Jim” O’Brien, died in 1980.
She is survived by three sons, Richard O’Brien of Essex, Mont., Dennis O’Brien of Seattle and Martin O’Brien of Ephrata; one daughter, Mary Vassar of Spokane; 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Arthur Hayfield Priest River, Idaho
A gathering in remembrance of Arthur Hayfield, 69, will be Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the family home in Priest River. Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hayfield, who died Saturday, was born on his family’s homestead near Valentine, Mont.
He served in the Marines during World War II and worked as a telephone lineman in Priest River from 1959 until 1969. He then worked in Fairbanks, Alaska, until 1987, when he returned to Priest River.
He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Elsie; one son, Kirk Hayfield of Spokane; three daughters, Nia Patton of Newport, Wash., Lea Lee of Coeur d’Alene and Renee VanNort of Fairbanks; one brother, Eugene Hayfield of Marysville, Wash.; one sister, Ina Harris of Priest River; 12 grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
William Burton Spokane
Graveside service for William Howard Burton, 82, will be at noon Thursday at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Burton, who died Sunday, was born in Irwin, Idaho.
He served in the Air Force for 26 years and retired in 1963. He was stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base in 1958. Following retirement he worked for 15 years as attendant counselor and supervisor at Lakeland Village. He retired again in 1977.
He was a member of the Cheney Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, and Cheney Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 11326.
His wife, Marybeth, died in 1985.
He is survived by two sons, William Burton of Tooele, Utah, and Edward Burton of Airway Heights; two daughters, Elizabeth Rogers of East Wenatchee, Wash., and Harriet Weber of Quincy, Wash.; one brother, David Burton of Colville, Wash.; two sisters, Hannah Nebeker of Cheney and Mary Allen of South Gate, Calif.; seven grandchildren and one greatgranddaughter.
