Louisiana-Pacific May Move Offices
Louisiana-Pacific Corp. reportedly may move its downtown Portland headquarters to Vancouver, Wash.
The forest products company - plagued by product and environmental lawsuits - confirmed it is looking at alternative sites but would not say where.
The Oregonian reported Tuesday that Louisiana-Pacific is negotiating to build an office in the Tidewater Cove business development park in Vancouver.
A spokeswoman for the Tidewater Development Co. said only that negotiations for the site are under way with one of Oregon’s five Fortune 500 companies, which includes Louisiana-Pacific.
Negotiations apparently began before Louisiana-Pacific’s latest round of legal problems began in May.
On Monday, another class-action lawsuit against Louisiana-Pacific was filed. The company already faces 11 such lawsuits nationally.
