Cowboy Defends Title

Jason Jackson of Montana State and Caryn Standifer of Southeastern Oklahoma State won the all-around titles in leading their teams to the crowns at the College National Finals Rodeo.

Jackson, the defending men’s allaround champion, repeated thanks to an 87-point mark in bull riding. The ride earned him the national bull riding championship with a three-ride total of 240, clinched the all-around crown and lifted Montana State to the men’s title.

Montana State finished with 506 points, while Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo was second at 460. Standifer scored 420 of Southeastern Oklahoma’s 455-point total.
