In American Legion Baseball action Friday night, Global Federal Credit Union beat Scott’s Custom Homes 3-2, M & L Construction defeated the Hillyard Boosters 11-1, Chapter 11/Longhorn beat Key Bank 8-3 and late Thursday night, Job Quest beat Kimmel Athletic 12-4.

For Global Federal Credit Union, Shawn Reynolds hit a two-run double in the second inning while teammate Preston Ashe got a sacrifice fly in the fifth to provide all of GFCU’s runs

GFCU pitcher Adam Sahnow went the distance for the win.

M & L pounded Hillyard as Sam Chimienti went 4 for 4, scored three runs and registered 3 RBIs in the blowout win. Chimienti had a tworun homer in the first inning.

For Longhorn/Chapter 11, pitcher Chris Wilson scattered seven hits while striking out nine.

Longhorn/Chapter 11’s Steve Schaber went 3 for 4 and teammate Joe Dunsmoor drove in two runs.
