Pilot Guilty Of Dropping Rolls Of Toilet Paper

Compiled From Wire Services

A pilot got 60 days in jail for bombarding Main Street from his small plane with rolls of toilet paper.

Robert Moore, 38, of Dallas, dropped several squeezably soft rolls last fall.

The pipeline patrol pilot was convicted last month of littering and refusing to take a breath test. The jury acquitted him of flying drunk.

Judge Russell Canaday sentenced him Wednesday to the maximum.

Sheriff Jack Daniels said Moore had been drinking with friends and bragged he could hit Main Street from the air. Moore bought a fourroll package and set off in his rented plane. He missed his target.
