Nick Spunich pitched a four-hitter as Olympic Sports downed East Valley Merchants 10-2 in an American Legion baseball game at Central Valley on Tuesday.
Mike Roberg, Kevin May and Andy Dunham had three hits apiece for Olympic, which used a four-run third inning to pull away.
At Shadle Park’s Al K. Jackson Field, Kimmel Athletic held off Chapter 11/Longhorn 11-10 after allowing five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Kimmel, led by Robert Woodside’s three hits and four RBIs and Brandon Molett’s solo home run, scored three in the top of the seventh to take an 11-5 lead.
At Rogers, Jon Stevenson threw a four-hitter and hit a two-run single as Global Federal Credit Union stopped Hillyard Boosters 6-2.
