Chilberg Replacement To Be Chosen Today

Phil Harris and Steve Hasson will select someone today to join them on the Spokane County Commission.

The two Republican commissioners will interview the three finalists for the District 1 position. The seat became vacant when Democrat Skip Chilberg resigned last month to take a job with a state board.

Attorney George Marlton, planning commissioner Frank Yuse and businessman and mountain climber John Roskelley, all Democrats, are the finalists.

The person Harris and Hasson pick will fill the seat until November, when the position will be up for grabs in the general election.
