Telethon Raises $427,101 For Kids

The 1995 Children’s Miracle Network this weekend raised $427,101 for children suffering from afflictions including birth defects, cancer, abuse and neglect.

The 21-hour event, televised Saturday and Sunday, is the largest children’s fund-raiser in Spokane, said Jennifer Otterstrom, assistant to the vice president at the network.

Children benefit who receive care at Deaconess Medical Center, Holy Family Hospital, Sacred Heart Medical Center, Valley Hospital and Medical Center, the Regional Center for Child Abuse and Neglect, and St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute.
