Jessie Dolan Spokane
Graveside service for Jessie B. Dolan, 100, was Monday at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Dolan, who died Thursday, was born in Shoshone, Idaho, and had lived in Spokane for more than 70 years.
She had worked as a waitress at the Davenport Hotel in the 1930s and ‘40s.
Her husband, George, died in 1972.
She is survived by six nieces, Shirley Peterson, Genevieva Radovich, Vivian Buckhorn and Lorinda Colby, all of Spokane, Jessie Allen of California and Leah McVey of Portland; two nephews, Jim Turnbull of California and Jim Armstrong of Spokane; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mildred Lowary Spokane
Graveside service for Mildred Lowary, 83, was Monday at the Mount Hope Cemetery. Schanzenbach Funeral Home of Fairfield was is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lowary, who died Wednesday, was born in Mount Hope.
A homemaker, she was a lifetime Mount Hope resident.
Her husband, Floyd Lowary, died in 1982.
She is survived by one sister, Mayme Lowary, and two brothers, Ed and Lester Olson, all of Mount Hope.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Care Center in Spokane or the Mount Hope Cemetery.
Thomas Morris Spokane
Private service for Thomas H. Morris, 60, is planned. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Bay City, Mich., Mr. Morris died Wednesday.
He was a heavy equipment operator and mechanic, and for the past few years he worked in appliance repair.
He lived in Spokane for 12 years and was a member of the Eagles Lodge 2.
He is survived by his companion, Terry; three sons, Thomas, Donald and Robert Morris; six daughters, Dee Reed, Jeannette Hibbler, Phyllis Morris, Michelle Coe, Jenniffer Morris and Carla Morrison; seven siblings and 19 grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Esther Ochsner Spokane
Memorial service for Esther E. Ochsner, 76, will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Veradale. Private burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Ochsner died Thursday.
Born in Parkston, S.D., she was a 45-year Spokane resident and a homemaker.
Her husband, Fred Ochsner, died in 1969.
She is survived by one daughter, Karron Payne of Veradale; two brothers, Albert Misterek of Tigard, Ore., and Norman Misterek of Post Falls; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Yeshajahu Pomeranz Pullman
Service for Yeshajahu Pomeranz, a Washington State University research professor, was Monday in Brookline, Mass. Burial was at Young Israel Cemetery in West Roxbury, Mass.
Mr. Pomeranz, who was born in Poland, died Friday. He was 72.
He was a research professor in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at WSU for eight years.
He had received numerous awards for his work and co-authored many books on food biochemistry, analysis and processing.
He is survived by his wife, Ada Pomeranz; two sons, Shlomo Pomeranz of Jerusalem and David Pomeranz of Brookline; two sisters, Mala Kelblatt and Regina Kanal, both of Israel; and four grandchildren.

Bertha Sauer Spokane
Memorial service for Bertha Sauer, 92, is set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lincoln Heights Congregational Church. Burial will precede at Spokane Memorial Gardens. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sauer, who died Friday, was born in Odessa, Russia, and immigrated to Odessa, Wash., when she was 8 months old.
She and her husband, Rudolph, farmed in Odessa, Ritzville and Harrington, Wash., before moving to Spokane in 1984.
She was a member of Lincoln Heights Congregational Church.
Her husband died in 1990.
She is survived by one son, Walter Sauer, and one daughter, Ruby Kelleher, both of Spokane; one sister, Tillie Lobe of Odessa; seven grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Rosa Kramer Davenport, Wash.
Service for Rosa F. Kramer, 97, is set for 10 a.m. today at Harrington (Wash.) Community Congregational Church with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Harrington. Strate Funeral Home of Davenport is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Kramer, a former Harrington resident, died last Tuesday at the Lincoln Nursing Home in Davenport, where she had lived since January.
She was born south of Odessa, Wash.
She graduated from Odessa High School and married her high school sweetheart, Alex Kramer, two years later. They farmed in Odessa and, in the early 1920s, they opened a general merchandise store in Harrington that they operated until 1929. They later moved to Mohler, Wash., where they also farmed.
Her husband died in 1956 and Mrs. Kramer moved to Spokane.
She is survived by one son, Robert Kramer of Harrington; two grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.
She was a member of Westminister Congregational Church in Spokane, the Bright Hope Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star and the Daughters of the Nile.

Earl Colyar Endicott, Wash.
Service for Earl Colyar, 74, will be at 11 a.m. today at Colfax (Wash.) Community Bible Church. Burial will follow at Colfax Cemetery with the Veterans of Foreign Wars participating. Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Colyar, who was born in Colfax, died Friday at home.
He graduated from Endicott High School in 1939 and joined the Navy. He was a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association of Spokane and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3469 of Colfax.
Mr. Colyar was a member of Colfax Community Bible Church, the Parvin Grange, Colfax International Order of Odd Fellows 14, and the Rebekah Lodge. He had been a 4-H leader for 25 years.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Marjorie “Peggy” Colyar; and one daughter, Brenda Colyar of Colfax.

George Gaza Spokane
Service for George R. Gaza, 63, is planned for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Riplinger Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Mount Hope Cemetery.
Born in Spafford, N.Y., Mr. Gaza died Saturday.
He had lived in Spokane since 1956 and was a member of Bakers Union Local 74. He was a baker for supermarkets.
Mr. Gaza served in the Navy during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife of four years, Judy; two daughters, Jana and Glenda Gaza, both of Spokane; four stepsons, Donald Simpson of Deer Park, and Kevin, Keith and Mark Simpson, all of Spokane; one stepdaughter, Joann Simpson of Spokane; two sisters, Anna Matthews and Eva Farrell, both of Syracuse, N.Y.; two brothers, Joseph Gaza of Venice, Fla., and John Gaza of Camillus, N.Y.; two grandchildren and eight stepgrandchildren.
June Read Spokane
Service for June D. Read, 71, is planned for 10 a.m. Friday at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home with private burial to follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mrs. Read died Sunday.
She was a lifetime Spokane resident and was a homemaker.
She was a member of Opportunity Christian Church.
Her husband, William Read, died in 1982.
She is survived by three sons, Chuck, Bob, and William Read, and one daughter, Nancy Read, all of Spokane; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Lovernia Mueller Spokane
Memorial service for Lovernia A. Mueller, 93, was Monday at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Private inurnment is planned.
Mrs. Mueller, a lifetime Spokane resident, died July 17.
She was a homemaker.
Her husband, Otto Mueller, preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sons, Robert Mueller of Waverly, Wash., and Gale and Garry Mueller, both of Spokane; one daughter, Alma Clark of Juanita, Wash.; one sister, Jean O’Donnell of Hayden Lake, Idaho; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Rev. Glen Clark Spokane
Graveside service for the Rev. Glen E. Clark, 84, was Monday at Fairmount Memorial Park. Memorial service is planned for 3 p.m. Friday at Park Road Church of God, where he was a member. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North is in charge of arrangements.
The Rev. Clark, who died Wednesday, was born in Paddock, Neb.
He lived in Spokane for 38 years and established the Nora Avenue Church of God.
The Rev. Clark had lived in North Dakota and Montana, establishing churches there also. While in North Dakota, he was state director of evangelism for the Church of God.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mildred Clark; one daughter, Annette Stalker of Spokane; one brother, Everett Clark of San Jose, Calif.; five sisters, Helen Young of Spokane, Louella Henthorn of Libby, Mont., Thelma Lampley of Poulsbo, Wash., Marcella Matney of Longview, Wash., and Rachel Tulp of Vancouver, Wash.; three grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.

Donald Stinson Sr. Spokane
Funeral service for Donald Lee Stinson Sr., 47, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home with burial at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Mr. Stinson died Friday of cancer.
He was born in Henryetta, Okla.
He had lived in Spokane for 11 years and was a carpenter in construction.
Survivors include his companion of 10 years, Regina Tarkington; two sons, Timothy Stinson and Don Stinson Jr., both of Spokane; two daughters, Dawn and Jacinda Stinson, both of Spokane; his father, Alvin Stinson of Mabank, Texas; his mother and her husband, Ella Mae and Jim McCord of Spokane; four brothers, Rudy Stinson of San Bernadino, Calif., and Gordon, Curtis and Clifford Stinson, all of Spokane; three sisters, Imagene Stinson of Dallas, Carol Mahoney of Spokane and Lorie Leibfried of Deer Lake; his grandmother, Thelma Harris of Modesto, Calif.; and one grandchild.
Violet Struck Spokane
Memorial service for Violet L. Struck, 65, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Struck died Thursday.
She was born in Clearfield County, Pa.
She had lived in Spokane for 35 years and was an Honor Society Member of the Avon Sales organization.
A homemaker, she was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Struck; one daughter, Sharon Faulkner of Vancouver, Wash.; three sons, John, George and Harry Zimmerman, all of Spokane; and eight grandchildren.
