Economic Development Council Has A Big Reason To Celebrate

Fresh off its biggest catch in years, the Spokane Area Economic Development Council will hold its semi-annual meeting this week at the Sheraton-Spokane Hotel.

The gathering for members of the business recruitment and retention agency begins at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

EDC, which is funded by Momentum ‘95, private business and Spokane County, will celebrate one of its biggest catches ever - the corporate headquarters for Egghead Software.

Egghead, an Issaquah, Wash.-based reseller of computer software, said two weeks ago that it plans to move headquarters to its Liberty Lake campus before 1996. The move will increase Spokane jobs from 335 to 500, officials said.

Washington State Fruit Commission board of directors meets in Ellensburg.
